If many of us had exercise equipment which generates power "live" or to a battery.

This has been invented already, the economics is being discussed.

If you do have a fantasy of a good idea, or any idea for that matter, consider throwing an experimental puppet into it.  It is important to keep our theories apart from reality until they are tested.  Then with doing testing and seeing what happens, more steps can go on.
