 The thing to do is determine what depends on the information being known.  Try and schedule the timetable for finding out - Or it's natural way of being found out, and you do not have to take action.  

     Compare the reasonable scenarios of timelines, in which you get the info early, late and at various times in between.

         It is true in probability that, we do not know whether something will come sooner or later.  But, dividing preparedness into when you might find out into three places on the schedule can help.
